"You know what! It's not my fault you're like, in love with me, or something!"

Mission Statement

Through the literary magazine Trauma Dump, our intent is to publish work that is based on the topic of love. Good or bad, fulfilling or toxic, non-existent, soul-crushing, or whatever your heart desires at the moment, we seek to create a journal where you can express your experiences with love or heartbreak. As a community, this will be a safe space to talk about your feelings regarding love and your life experiences. Our goal is to represent everyone in the art of literature, especially those who are a part of communities that don’t always get a voice, such as LGBTQ+, people with disabilities, and BIPOC.

Our goal is to create a safe space for discussing all aspects of love surrounding us. The future for love is continuous, and we will grow as a community through submissions. Love is a complex topic with vast feelings, that’s why Trauma Dump is a way to express your feelings about your awful ex-boyfriend or that next-door neighbor you have a crush on. When differences are embraced, we are able to come together as a whole to accept and love one another and see how similar we really all are. Our mission is to respect and uplift one another. As love can be a tough topic for some, there is a trigger warning on such subjects that may be harmful to others. Please reach out if there are any accommodations that you, as a reader, might have.

Submissions will be open from October 7th – December 5th and can be submitted by email at rachel.sivy@yahoo.com We accept any form of writing, such as poetry, non-fiction, fiction, essays, and short stories. We accept file types such as PDF and Word DOC any other kind will not be accepted for eligibility. Please do not use the real full names of anyone in your submission, as we intend to protect the safety of others. Pseudonyms first-name-only are allowed.

About The Creator

Hello, my name is Rachel Sivy and I am a senior at Ohio University studying Creative Writing and Psychology. This literary magazine strives to let all of your emotions go and be able to trauma dump in a healthy way. As a psychology major and writer, I feel as it is helpful to write down your emotions to release the stress and anxiety that can come with life's struggles. After graduation in Spring 2025, I am planning to further my education in Clinical Child Psychology obtaining my Doctorate. In my free time, I enjoy reading, dancing, and spending time with my dog and four cats. I hope you look forward to reading my magazine.
